La Voz Nueva
I spent 6 years working for the Denver based La Voz Nueva newspaper. Starting in the classified department, I would produce ads and layout the classified pages each week for press.
I quickly moved to Production Coordinator for the paper. As Production Coordinator I was tasked with layout for all pages except Classifieds and the Entertainment section as well as creating ads for clients.

As production coordinator I not only did the layout each week, I also maintained and updated the templates used to create the paper.
In 2009 I was honored to receive National Association of Hispanic Publications (www.nahp.org) Jose Marti Awards, for some of my production and design work.

Internal Forms and Media Pack
Part of my responsibilites at La Voz Nueva, was to update the media packs, which were sent to advertisers and the display ad order forms. Using space and contrast in text size, my goal was to make both forms more organized and easier to read.
