Kroger

During my nine years with Kroger, I held multiple positions. While most were production related, the King Soopers Wrap was the most creative position. The wrap is a local specialized version of the circular we produced every week. Unlike the circular, the wrap did not have a specific layout, each week I was tasked with creating a new layout and design with direction from the marketing department.

 
 

Eventually, King Soopers wanted a rotating set of cover pages with a set top section promoting specific departments or items when a holiday or seasonal promotion wasn’t needed. Marketing wanted a large feature image with an area for promotional copy. I created seven templates promoting Discover Local items, gluten free foods, the meat department,, etc.

 
 
 
 

The wrap’s 2-3 spread and page 4 were just as creative as the cover page. each week the layouts would change depending on promotions and item availability.
